Our purpose

Grape Juice was created to translate, in plain and accessible language, what medical and nutrition research says about the benefits (and precautions) of grape juice at every stage of life: from childhood to older age, including the teen years, adulthood and pregnancy.

We know many families search for this kind of information on their phones, often in the middle of a busy day. That's why we keep content direct, free of unnecessary jargon, and always with the original source cited at the end of each page, so you can dig deeper or verify it yourself.

Our commitment to trustworthy sources

All content published here is based on recognized medical, nutritional and scientific sources, always prioritizing established institutions and publications over secondary or unverified sources. Our references include:

  • Agricultural and scientific research institutions, such as Embrapa Grape & Wine (Brazil);
  • Peer-reviewed scientific articles, indexed in databases like PubMed/NCBI and university journals;
  • Internationally recognized medical centers and academic hospitals, such as the Mayo Clinic;
  • Articles with technical grounding, written or reviewed by dietitians and other health professionals.

Each life-stage page lists its numbered sources at the end. If you spot something that looks outdated or inaccurate, let us know; the contact info is at the bottom of this page.

Privacy & LGPD

This site is based in Brazil and we respect your privacy in line with the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Law No. 13,709/2018 — Brazil's LGPD). Here's how we handle your data:

  • We collect name and email when you sign up for the newsletter, and name, Instagram handle (optional), recipe text, and a photo when you submit a recipe through "Community recipes", always provided voluntarily by you.
  • We use that data only to send news and updates about this site, or to publish your recipe, with your name and credit, once it's approved.
  • Voting on "Favorites" doesn't ask for any personal data: we only store an anonymous identifier in your browser, to prevent repeat votes.
  • We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (GoatCounter) that sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors; it only counts visits anonymously.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time, via the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
